Future Winners Friday

Ryan Harrison

Nicknamed 'Harry' at 19 he was the second youngest player in the 2011 year-end rankings within the top 100 (After Bernard Tomic). He is the main up-and-coming American who the USA will surely be cheering on to become their next top player and improve Americans mens tennis!

Professional Life

In 2008 he qualified and reached the second round of his ATP main draw debut in Houston, making him the 11th player in the Open Era to win a match before his 16th birthday the last being Nadal in 2005.

He became the first American teenager to beat a top 20 opponent in 2010, since Roddick in 2001, a sign the Ryan Harrison could go on to become the top American player.

And in 2011 he won his first ATP doubles title and was the only teen to win a singles or doubles title in the season.

However while he has made his precense known at the Grand Slams, often forcing top players to more than three sets, he has not made much of a lasting dent yet :

Australian Open - 1st round (2010/11/12)
French Open - 1st round (2011)
Wimbledon - 2nd round (2011)
