A 21 year old Canadian Milos Raonic is Canadas highest ATP ranked male singles player and the country's highest ranked player since computer rankings began in 1973.

Professional Life

A newbie to the Grand Slams 2011 was his best year and an encouraging point to improve from, particularly the Australian Open result, unfortunately in 2011 he was unable to take part in the US Open due to hip surgery but soon returned to action by getting to the semifinals at the Stockholm Open.

His single wins have been Chennai and San Jose, in doubles he has won in Halle.

Personal Life

Born to engineers Dusan and Vesna he moved from Montenegro to Canada at three years old, his brother and sister Momir and Jelena moved back to Montenegro and he often visits them he appears to be passionate about supporting Canada and developing more players. It seems he is currently dating Paula Kalini and while she actively supports him on twitter I have not been able to locate any pictures of the two!

He was named newcomer of the year by the 2011 ATP World Tour Awards presented by Moët & Chandon after jumping from No. 156 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings at the start of the season to No. 31 on 14 November 2011.
